I will take the glue, tape and a box please.

Lauryn lost her 1st tooth today.....and I'm bawling my eyes out.

Learning our ABC's and our 123"s

It's going to be another great year at Cornerstone Christian School!

Lauryn and 1st grade teacher Mrs. Ridinger

Liza and 2nd grade teacher Mrs. West

Summa Time......

So, I'm going to try and remember the exciting things that have happened in our humble little home since April.

The girls get out of school every year just before Memorial Day weekend. Here in the LC Valley that weekend starts the NAIA World Series at our own Harris Field. This is a lot of fun and we spend the majority of the following 12 days there. We love our Warriors and love baseball.

The girls got to spend a week at Grandma and Papa's in July and that is usually the highlight of their summer. This year they got to ride horses at our family friends, the Michaelis' and if you know Lauryn at all, this is something that she will forever remember. She got to ride and "steer" the horse all by herself. HUGE!!!!

We are blessed to live on a street that is safe and has lots of other kiddoz. This means, that the girls leave to go outside around 10am and then they only return for food and water and bathroom breaks until dark. It's nice for them and of course, cuts down on the sisterly "love". They seem to show that love the more time they spend together. :)

The boat got a remodel this year so Ryan spent much of his time working on it to save the hourly grunt work rate. We figure his work saved us around 25% of the total cost. He is handy to have around. The work was complete just in time for the warm weather so we were blessed to spend LOTS of time up the river on the sandy beaches. We also got the opportunity to watch the Jet Boat Races and boy was that exciting. There were two turbine engine boats that traveled up to 130 miles an hour. You could hear them coming up/down the canyon before you could see them and they sounded just like a jet airline, crazy.....and totally cool.

Here are few pictures of our summer. Enjoy!

After a day on the river. The girls lived in these suites.
G.ma, Papa and their grands. Loved having them with us for the 4th of July.

Lauryn, doing a little trott'in on her favorite of God's creatures.

Liza Jane, doing some chores, Papa's horse appropriate shoes in the back ground.

It was another great summer watching our beauties grow into awesome young ladies.

Life....it's busy anyhow.

The enemy knows my weaknesses....of course he does, I say them out loud. :)

Anyhow, I have always been very bad about doing scrap books and baby books and simply putting the girls lives on paper. I am exactly 7 years 11 months and 30 days behind on Liza's baby book and her one year scrap book........oh how this bothers me.

My purpose of this post is to say, the reason I started a blog in the first place was

#1 have a chronological location of events of our lives, print it every year and vuala, an instant scrap book.

#2 for out of town family and friends to keep an eye on the girlie's as they grow.

Now, the only way this truly works is to actually use the blog on a semi-regular basis. :)

Ahh, okay then.

I'm also doing my best to ignore the rotten enemy because really, my value and reason here is not a blog.....but I'm thankful for it none the less.

Guilt is not from God.

Loves to you all.
